Possible, yes...healthy...no
In general it is considered healthy to lose 1-2 pounds per week. One pound equals about 3500 calories. So if you limit yourself to 1500 calories per day (instead of 2000 that most people eat to sustain themselves) you will come out about right. That would account for 1 pound per week. You can get the additional pound by increasing workouts to burn approx. 500 calories per day...a 8-9 mile jog (or walk) would that for you...or treadmills, bikes, etc....
It's actually alot of work to decrease by 1-2 pounds per week, and an 800 cal diet is simply not likely to be able to be maintained for any length of time. Your 850 calorie per day goal is also high for starting out... unless you've been working out alot already...

You NEED to be eating more than that. Keep your calories between 1200- 1500. If you go any lower than that, your body goes into starvation mode and holds onto everything you eat and you won't lose anything. If you up your calories, it is possible to lose 13 pounds in a month. Just cut out fast food and soda. Drink more water and eat fruits and veggies.

At that extreme measure, 1 of 2 things will happen:

1) your body will go into starvation mode and not lose any weight.
2) you will lose muscle, and do yourself medical harm.

Please research reputable health and fitness websites and choose a healthier calorie plan - no one should be below 1200 and adjust your exercise habits. You may want to be 150 now, but its not worth the damage you may do to your health

In 30 days you could lose 8-10 lbs. Limiting yourself to 600 calories a day is not a healthy way to diet. You need to eat from all food groups, drink water, and continue exercising. You will be more satisfied and will be able to stick with it longer. Doing this you can figure on a 2-3 lb. weight loss per week.
