I gained 4 pounds in a day?!

Question: Recently I've been eating lots of sweets, but I've also been losing weight rapidly until I was 109. Then today, I weighed myself and my weight increased to 114. I'm in indoor track at school and so I run a lot, but I'm not sure if that weight is from eating all that sweets. I feel normal, my stomach expanded about twice its normal size, and it's been like that for a while.

I haven't had my period in about 2.5 months, too, so do you think that could be it?

Women are very bad for retaining water. If you notice or want to do this experiment your weight will change from day to day through out the month, just like your temperature will. Weigh yourself before you eat every day and you'll see what I mean. Also you weigh more after you eat then before because you've added mass to your body. And you will weigh less if you go to the bathroom before you weigh yourself, for obvious reasons. Good Luck.

Maybe you've built muscle since the weight gain isn't too significant?

your pregnant haahha that sux

you may have reatined alot of water that day

Hmm could you be pregnant? Im not sure how old you are or. Well yea if you are thats up to you to find out but it could just be food that is hard to digest sitting in your system Ex:Stomach intestines colon. Could just be food catching up with you. I wouldn't worry about it(Other then if pregnancy). I mean 4-5 pounds never hurt anyone. If you think its fat then just keep up the exercise.

Again could be food fat muscle gain or retaining liquids etc. Too hard to tell not seeing you or knowing your lifestyle

It could be because you're going to get your period. I gain around 4-5 pounds a week around getting it. It is just stored water and other things. After my period is over I go back to normal weight and yes, I gain that whole weight in just a day too. Don't worry. But if you miss your period longer than 3 months you may wanna go and see a doctor.

well for starters how old are you? if your over 18 then you sound pretty thin & that could be why your period stopped. the same thing happened to me for about 4 months...

secondly....what time of day you weigh yourself matters
i.e. you weigh less in the morning then you do at night. it can fluctuate a few pounds which sounds about right in your case

hope this helps
