Question: how do healthy snacks inbetween meals give you nutrition and how does nutrients vitamins and minerals help our bodies?!?!

Healthy snacks -
nuts - any kind of nuts like almonds, peanuts etc
fruits/veggies - apples, carrots, bananas, cucumbers etc
fat free yogurt
granola bar

*whole-grain breads and cereals and combine them with protein-rich snacks such as peanut butter or low-fat yogurt or cheese.

Things like that don't drink juice or soda there empty calories, go for fresh water instead*

Healthy snacks keep your metablosim up helping your burn more calries thoughout the day and give you more energy to avoid getting groggy mid day or mid morning. Any healthy snack will contain many mineral and vitamins and thats what attributes to these positive effects. My fav healthy snack is air popped pop corn with a little salt, 0 fat low in calories high in energy and fiber! you can make some on Monday store it in zip lock bags and grab one on the go thru out the week! I also love carrots dipped in low fat ranch dressing, lots of vitamin A that imporves vision and geat for the skin and healthy hair!

lays, bananas, apples nuts, corn, strawberries, cranberries, raisins, oranges and clementines are some.

nuts (1 oz. or 1/4 cup)-walnuts are great because they are LOADED with omega 3 fatty acids
peanuts are also good if they are unsalted because they keep you full for a long time

Red Delicious aplle slices and two tablespoons of peanut butter-the skin of the apple has a bunch of fiber and the peanut butter offers great protien and stays with you for a long time

Protien gives you more muscle tone-making you appear thinner

yogurt (i LOVE stonyfield farms' yogurts)- has lots of protien and is really really good for you

cheese & whole wheat crackers- has lots of protien and fills you up

dried fruit-gives you energy

fruit and fat-free yougurt smoothies-delicious and low-cal
