I walked 30 minutes today, is that good?!

Question: Im 16 years old, 250+ pounds. I dont go to school because of personal reasons I wont explain here. IM basically isolated in my house. Im a male obviously. I started walking back in the fall, but the weather got cold and it started snowing. SO today I bundled up, grabbed my ipod and went walking around my back yard for 30 minutes straight. I started to feel a little warm and I felt blushy like. Does that mean it was working? I use my backyard as my track lol. I was walking sorta a fast pace, but not too fast where I get tired. Should I continue this on good days like today? I have dumbbells ive been using. I do about 250-300 different curls with them each night. Well atleast lastnight I did, and now my arms are sore again. I try to use them once every 2 days. Is this good? Will I lose weight?

Ive also been watching what im eating. And I drink alot of water. I dont really eat healthy foods, but I watch my portions.

Congratulations on doing good things for your body! These are all excellent approaches to a healthy life-style. Any time you excercise will help, doesn't matter what you do as long as you move. Building muscle is especially beneficial since muscle burns more calories at a resting rate than fat would. Try and incorporate a few more fruits and veggies, cut out trans fats (check food lables for the word hydrogenated) and you should be well on your way!

Sounds good so far but if u really want to lose weight u better start eating healthier bcuz even n eating not good food in small portions is ridiculous bcuz u r contradicting yourself. Start eating healthier and maybe even go to a DOCTOR so they can set up a meal plan so u don't get hungry. Also u should go to see if u r that weight to to the foods u ate or due to a thyroid problem!! It is good walking and drinking water plz continue to do so, go slow with weiths, walk and stretch before anything! :)
