What would you say about my body?!

Question: i am close to 5'3" and was weighing 115 lbs
in the past year i gained a few lbs because the previous year i had lost weight and so the result was 115 lbs
i went for a physical and the doc told me i was perfect
i was always self conscious tho
i tend to gain weight in my midsection (tummy and chest) i find it repulsive...i thot i was okay until many relatives started to blatantly say to my face that i was fat
my hips thighs everything has always been thin..i just carry a few extra lbs on my tummy
it seems enlarged and completely disgusting to me
i have become so affected by what they say that i have gone on a strict diet and in the past two weeks lost close to 4 lbs

Why does it matter what your family thinks? You are letting them project their image of what they "think" is acceptable. If YOU are uncomfortable with your image, change it for yourself. As soon as I stopped worrying about how other people percieved me and worked on my body for me, I lost 40 lbs and have done very well at keeping it off. For me, not "them".

Your dimensions are? Depends. I know some girls who are a little taller and weigh the same. They are very skinny.

I would say that it is your opinion of your own body that matters, NOT what anyone else thinks about it! You are the one who has to live with what you look like everyday, not your family! Besides, families are sapposed to make your life hell. Ignore them, make yourself happy, and live a good life.

No one is perfect. No one is every going to be the perfect weight. Just because someone might not have the perfect body doesn't make them fat. If you don't like your stomach then exercise and eat the right foods. Secondly, I find it extremely sad if someone in your own family thinks your fat. Stand up to them. Don't let them put you down like that. Ever.

All the stuff in the culture that makes girls worry about their weight is the problem. There is absolutely nothing wrong with you.
"This One's For the Girls" is a great song by Martina McBride that says it all:
You're beautiful the way you are.
Take it to heart and don't waste another minute of your life worrying about this.
