Is drinking carbonated water as good as drinking regular water?!

Question: I'm wondering if drinking club soda/seltzer/sparking water counts as drinking regular water? (counts in terms of the recommended 8 glasses a day or whatever it is.) Thanks!

Natural is always better than not. 8 glasses of water means water not coffee not carbonated and not juice.......have them in addition if you wish.

no diff. And you dont need 8 glasses a day of water. All liquids count. So coffee juice and all that count towards it.

Look at the nutritional information. If there's nothing but water in the ingredients list and no calories, sugar or salt then it's just as good. Some carbonated water has a little bit of salt in it, but it's usually not a significant amount at all.

I think so.

It's yummier.

Noooo drinking carbonated water is not good for health than normal water and one must prefer normal water.....

water is water if you ask me and soda tastes much better than tap water

Drinking regular water is what is best for your body.

i think that if you drank that with some reg water that it should be good...all it is is water with co2 in it right.. if you want to find out drink it for like a week and do the hydration test. if you dont know what the hydration test is it is where you check the color of you pee if it is yellow your dehydrated and need to drink regular water. but during that week you should drink atleast some reg water just the be safe.

No Carbonated water isn't as good as drinking regular water. It takes you body and kidneys longer to process Carbonated water than regular water. It can also cause kidney problems. Regular water cleans your system and is better for you. But , as someone who makes a living working outside and doing a lot of heavy lifting and walking everyday, any doctor will tell you that any liquid is better than no liquid but it is still best to drink regular water.

Its just as good as far as nutritional benefits of water. Some people don't drink it so often because it causes bloating and gas from the carbonation.

But its an excellent replacement for sodas.

Oh!
We are "designed" for using more of " Oxygen " than that carbon-di-oxide, which we discard during exhalation(for the benefit of plant life-as a reciprocal-inter-dependence-means!).
So,
it should NOT make much sense, "consuming" what we ought to discard.
Then, for the "why" (do we consume soda).... well, the little bits of "to-be-expelled" tiny molecules, globlets, bubbles (or whatever) of that air would get polarised with a larger quantity, deliberately pumped in, and it would get "expelled" as belch etc, and provide some relief. This tiny bits would not have even got stuck to intestine walls, if only we had stuck to the kind of food we were designed to eat, instead of that junk!

The same, the only thing you should look out for is Sodium.
