Question: can soy protein powder make you gain weight...and how much of it should i take a day...or some recipes for shakes with soy protein powder?I wanna put on some weight...i do yoga 3 times a week and push-ups and squats every day.

Soy protien is a good way of adding extra protien to your diet. I don't think it will pack on much weight, but I use it occassionally to make a smoothie into a complete meal replacement. The added protien really keeps you fuller longer and is great to help maintain muscle when trying to lose weight.
1 cup frozen fruit (such as frozen berries, sliced bananas, diced peaches, mango, pineapple)
1 small container (8 oz)of light yogurt (either vanilla or fruit)
1 cup fat free or skim milk
2 scoops soy protien powder

Place all of the above in a blender and blend until smooth. Makes 2 smoothies.

yes, but how much to take is depend on what kind of brand you consume, the ingredient will different among brands.
