Question: I like to drink beer and have been dieting and working out 5 days a week for an hour and still no weight loss! How can I lose weight and still keep drinking beer?

Beer is full of calories and sugar.
I would give it up, it's not good for you anyway.

don't let all your hard work be ruined by drinking regular beer!

Drink lite beer and try to cut back also maybe eat less calories to compensate for the calories of beer.

Not really...beer has a lot of calories...just cut back alittle and exercise a little more...it will work...!

Diet is about giving something up. Beer is one of them light or not. It has carbs in it and carbs take twice as much to burn.

Well stop drinking beer, thats what is keeping you from losing weight, turn to wine, or liquor Bicardi and Diet cola.

There is a reason why they call it a beer gut.

Beer has a lot of calories = beer bellies. You could try light beer or switch to wine. But keep your consumption low.

It is okay to drink some alcohol, but wait until your health and metabolism increases before consuming. And when you do consume, make it the minimal.

sorry girl, but beer is empty calories. it sticks like sugar and does not like to come off. if you must have it you have to cut more food out of your diet. that is very unhealthy to substitute one for the other, and when you get the look you want you might look sickly from not having proper nutrition. give the beer a break for a while, or seriously cut down, and drink light.

Limit you alcohol intake. Only drink your favourite beer. Make it a treat, not a regular.

Beer is very high in carbs, calories. Bitter and stout are very high in iron and trace minerals. Stout has beeb prescribed to women who need that extra iron, though you need to up your vitamin c intake. So it's not all bad. I drink 2 pints bitter a week and have no problem with my weight.

Oh and since it is considered acidic to the body. Before you go to bed drink 2-3 glasses of Alkalized water. It will help off-set the effects of the beer

Rather than Potato Chips & French Onion dip with your beer - enjoy Tortilla Chips & Salsa.

While eating pizza with your beer - order it with SOME veggies on it and hold back SOME of the cheese.

There is NEVER a good reason to cut beer out of one's diet.

Beer is very high in cholesterol. Cholesterol gives you a big belly. That's why haavy drinkers have "beer bellies". I would strongly suggest you not drink at all, especially while dieting. You'll see no results.

ohhhh man! beer is totaly my down fall too! i jsut can't help it no matter what. i'll go for a 4 mile run and go straight for a beer. but it's coors light and i try to not eat a huge dinner. and since i've given up on trying to just not drink beer i've just decided to have two a night. two a night is only like 300 calories or something and it curbs my craving and it's a reward to myself for going out and working out.. i hope this helps! good luck!

How much beer do you drink a day? If you absolutely must have some, drink half as much, AND drink Light beer.
