Anyone ride bicycles in the winter?!
Question: I want to get into shape and I was told riding a bike is a good exercise. But it's cold outside!!! Does anyone else ride when it's cold? I know this is a stupid question but what do you wear?

Well I live in CA and though we think it is cold, it probably isn't compared to where you live. But, I even biked in winter when I lived in the midwest. I've found the spandex ski pants and tops to keep me warm and not make me sweat so much. I usually wear a silk t-shirt underneath and silk long johns for comfort and additional warmth. I do wear gortex gloves which I know look silly, but my hands are really what gets cold fastest. A hat is an essential because you lose a lot of heat off of your head.
Yea, we have people here in Ohio by Lake Erie dong it, its that or walk. But don't forget its slippery outside. At my age, I wouldn't do it.
