Red Meat Unhealthy?!


Question: Is red meat like beef, and beef ribs, necessarily unhealthy?

Because i know "lean-meats" are the healthy meats that were supposed to have, but what about the red meats, they arent AS healthy, but does that mean we CANT or SHOULD'NT havr them?

Just because red meats aren't as healthy as "lean meats" doesn't mean that you shouldn't eat them. Everything is good in moderation and meat has a lot of protein so limiting yourself to only one variety doesn't open up a lot of doors. So you can still eat them, just eat them in moderation

I have red meats occasionally, once in awhile. I think it's perfectly fine to have red meats every once in awhile, but no more than twice a week. Red meats usually have alot of fat in them, which is why they're considered unhealthy.

It also depends how the meat is cooked. If the meat is barbequed, alot of fat is burned off. However, if the meat is fried in other animal fats, and oils (other than vegetable/canola oil) it can be very unhealthy for you.

Anything is unhealthy that is eaten too much. Moderation is the key to everything.. That way nothing is unhealthy.
