Proein foods?!


Question: do u kno any good recipes or foods with proteins... i want to replace the carbs i eat too many carbs i kno about meat fish and milk but what else???

almonds are really good source. whey protein powder. beans and anything dairy(especially low fat cottage cheese)13 g per serving.

Cheese is a good source of protein---choose lower fat varieties. That goes for yogurt, too. Whey protein comes in many forms---good protein bars. Legumes (almonds, beans, soy), seeds, and rice round out amino acids that are not supplied by meat and milk products. Most grains have decent crude protein, and if you stick to whole grains, such as steel cut oats rather than rolled oats for example, the glycemic index is reduced, thus changing the way you absorb the carb/sugars.

Chicken is quick and easy. Peanuts do have good protein, but don't eat too much of them; they do have quite a bit of fat as well. Good fats, but nonetheless, too much of a good thing is a bad thing.

I'm not sure where you live, but VENISON, or deer meat, is probably the BEST and #1 tasting way to get protein. I believe 4oz. of venison (which isn't a lot) packs close to 40g of protein.

Cheese, Cottage cheese, turkey, peanuts and steak
