Are raisins good for a snack instead of junk food?!

Question: Yes, they're fruit as opposed to processed sugary junk food. And although they have natural sugars in them, they're way healthier than refined sugars. They also contain iron and other important vitamins.

They also have fiber, another healthy thing for you, and have been linked to lowering cholesterol.

Enjoy 'em!

Is this a serious question?

yes.

Hello.
I think that definitely yes ! raisins are full of glucose so it makes you a bit more active and gives you some energy.
That's a very good idea and I am glad that you posted this question in public.
Hope I've helped you

Raisins are sundried grapes...they're a lot better than junk food. "Raisins are about 60% sugars by weight, most of which is fructose. Raisins are also high in antioxidants, and are comparable to prunes and apricots in this regard."--remember ALL fruit has sugar but they also have benefits that outweigh the sugar by a lot!
"Raisins are sweet due to their high concentration of sugars. If they are stored for a long period, the sugar inside the fruit crystallizes. This makes the fruit gritty, but does not affect its usability. To de-crystalize raisins, they can be soaked in liquid (alcohol, fruit juice, or boiling water) for a short period, dissolving the sugar."--that will satisfy your sweet tooth.

yes!

Raisins are much healthier than other kinds of snack foods. They are very high in fiber and in iron. The only drawback is that they are on the sweet side (a lot of natural sugars) but that should not be a problem unless you are diabetic. The only thing to watch out for is that some dried fruits (including raisins) are sprayed with preservatives. Just look at the 'ingredients' list and choose a brand where the only ingredients are "raisins."

Only if the raisins are all natural. They are a good source of alot of nutrients your body uses like fiber and potassium. BUT be sure they are not sugar coated as that can cause tooth decay.
