I need to lose 30-35 pounds by the end of august....?!


Question: I ma going to highschool starting next September and i NEED to lose 30-35 pounds by then. I Am about that mch over weight. i weigh 160 pounds. I am 13 years old turning 14 in march.PLEEEEEZ help. I cannot always eat the healthiest foods either. please give me some excerises to do( Winter time here) pleeeez

Set small goals for yourself. Losing 30 lbs by September means losing about 5 lbs a month. That's a little over a pound a week. You can do that! Weigh yourself before you start to diet, and weigh yourself each week to track your progress.

Write down everything you eat. See if you can't replace the unhealthy foods with healthy ones. Or, instead of that bag of chips, try a piece of bread and a tall glass of water, just to take the edge off your hunger until dinner.

Anything that keeps you moving is good exercise. If you have stairs in your house, go up and down them a few extra times each day. Even if it's cold out, you can bundle up a bit and take a brisk walk around the block. Try doing 10 sit ups and 10 push ups three times a day. When you can do that easily, move on to sets of 25.

Increase your physical activity (even if it's only going for a walk or bike ride) and cut out the carbs.. No more pop, chips, candy, bread, pasta... Eat more salads..

Try getting just 30 min of activity into your schedule each day. Its a small step, but a great first step. Try it and go from there. Also, stating "I cannot always eat the healthiest foods either" sounds like a cop out. Theres never a reason where you MUST eat unhealthy food. There are always quick, cheap convenient healthy foods available, sometimes you just have to plan a little before.

All the exercise in the world cant help you if you have an unhealthy diet.

Well eating healthy is a big part. When you can you need to eat healthy. Eat balanced meals and cut down on midnight snacks and crap like that. Work out every day. Situps and dunbells during commercials, 15 minutes walk or jog everyday.

i've just been trying to eat alot more fruits and veggies
and when i eat out i always get a healthier side instead of fries and i eat in moderation. if i eat out on monday i cant eat out on tuesday too. just running and buying work out videos doing leg lifts (lay on the ground and lift your legs up and bring them down w/o letting them touch the ground) i do about 300 a day but im working up to 500.......lots of water about four bottles a day. PACKING YOUR LUNCH AT SCHOOL!!!! bring a salad!!! dont eat fries and pizza....ask your mom when she goes to the store if she can help you by not putting tempting foods in the house like pizza and oreos and other fatty things. vegetable soup is really good in the winter time.....just any little thing helps!

its cool, i eat like a pig and i weigh 130lbs, but i also lift weights (which doesnt help me lose fat) and i desperatly hate running, so what i do like a couple hours a day or something like that is i will do mad crazy jumping jacks, ill jump up and down along time till my legs start to burn, sit ups wont help you lose weight it will just make your abs stronger of course, and i aslo went on youtube and found a few yoga moves, not those slow *** shi* yoga moves, but faster ones, and just do those too, and try not to eat alot of carbs, like pasta, bread etc... just good stuff, like a little chicken, eggs, cereal, stuff like that, i eat it, but not too much, drink alot of water before every meal and follow this, and you can lose more than enough weight before even 3 months

when you feel hungry drink a glass of water, this dulls the appetite. dont miss out on regular meals but eat smaller portions.

First you need to get the support of your family. This is the most important part. P?PPY is right you need to sit down & discuss with your mom about not having unhealthy food in your house. If she usually buys soda, ask her to start buying flavored seltzer. This helped me cut the addiction to soda, the seltzer has all the fizz but none of the added sugar. Start eating more unrefined foods, like whole grain breads and breakfast cerial, wheat pasta. Start reading the portion sizes on food boxes, and if that does not seem like enough food, add loads of veggies. Cut out the fast food (trust me, go rent Supper Size Me, will help you stop), and start packing your lunch for school now. This will start ot get you in the habit for High School (which is were I ganed all of my weight, darn cafeteria!)

As for exercise, run to Target or Best Buy and pick up and easy work out video. These you can do at you own pace and in privacy. Once the weather warms up, start walking.

But the one thing that will help you is getting the support and help of your family. They have proven that having a good support system and a buddy will help you loose the weight and may also cause your buddy to loose weight too.

I know we all like a snack from time to time, get your parents to get different fruits in the house until you try something you really like, theres as many fruits in a supermarket as their are brands of chocolate bar, I personally love blueberries and passion fruit, but we only had apples bananas pears and oranges in my house until I decided to loose weight myself. The same old fruit gets boring after 18 years. When you feel the temptation to snack, drink some water first, it really can fill you up and keeps you going for about 20mins before your next meal. Wait 5 mins before you consider if you are still hungry, then go for some fruit. If you still want to give in to temptation, do it properlly, eat something you know you love, if you eat something you hardly like, you'll still want more. A little bit of something you really like is so much better than a pile of something you dont really care for.
