In about 4 months I only lost 18 lbs, and I feel very discouraged?!

Question: Do you think this is a realistic goal to attain; I want to weigh about 190lbs by may. I currently weigh 220(lost 17lbs in 4 months.)

Am I losing enough weight, in 4 months I feel like I should weigh much less.

always remember every pound counts and when you reach your goal you get to add all the pound you lost an also they say that the slower you lose it the better chance you have of keeping it off GREAT JOB !!!

You lost about 1 lb/week. That is a very healthy pace at which to lose weight and keep it off. Good for you.

Keep it up. Don't be in a rush. The winner of the challenge of healthy, permanent weight loss is always the tortoise, never the hare.

you should set a goal of 3 pounds a week. Also exercise regularly.

it shouldnt be about how much weight is lost, but if your getting into a good routine to lose more in the next 4 months.

Depends on what you're doing to lose weight. 30lbs by May is realistic I think. Maybe if you step up exercise you can lose more weight..but you should tell what you are doing to lose weight. I've lost 16lbs in about 2 months. And I know I could have lost a lot more if i stuck to my exercise and eating plan. But now I am getting back on track and I hope to lose 20 more pounds in two months. I wish you luck.

Hey, don't feel bad! 17-18 pounds is great! As long as you are eating healthy foods, and getting exercise, you should loose weight in no time. I would say that instead of trying to loose a certain amount of weight by may, try to be healthy, and not worry about how much you weigh each and every day. Go 2-4 months between weighing, and see how you are comming along.

Your goal should be just to lose weight each month. The amount you lose will fluctuate all of the time.
