Why don't i feel my thighs working during/after jogging?!

Question: Calves are sore, but feel NOTHING in thighs/glutes.

i jog on a treadmill - 45 mins, alternate 8-10 minutes of jogging (4.5 - 5.5 mph, about 8-10 minutes) with two minutes of high incline walking. i wear basic asics, about a year old (but not used for very much of that, say about 6 months of wear).

I usually have about a day of rest in between, but occasionally not.

if you sprint you will feel it in your thighs. jogging always more to your calves like you said.

You need me. I would give you a great massage and you will feel everything again, even things you didn't expect to exist...

jogging doesn't really work out the muscles in the thighs (quads and hamstrings)

it will make your calves work more so that's the reason yours are sore.

Try doing squads. Its the best workout for thighs. Squad will make your quads (the front muscles of your thighs) to work. To balance it out, do leg curls. Curls will work out your hamstrings (back part of your thighs)

I was the same way. The only way I feel something is if I put the treadmill on an incline, then I can feel it under my butt, back of my legs. But even if you dont feel it, it is working. I didnt feel anything for the month I was walking and I lost two inches off of each thigh just by walking, not even at an incline. But if you want to intensify your walking, just maybe try an incline.:)
