Answers: Stay at home mom with a 7 month old. I have a hard time staying motivated throughout the day. I think I need a schedule

- Eat 4 to 6 meals a day.
- Make sure your house doesn't have much junk food in it...it's easier not to eat it when you have to go out and buy the food than when it's in the cabinet 2 feet away.
- Snack on healthier things you enjoy. There are actually many delicious and healthy foods to munch on.
- Drink water every time you think about eating snacks you know yous shouldn't.
- Remind yourself that most cravings go away in less than 15 minutes. If you still want it 15 min later, make an exception, because you're not going to be able to avoid it... but eat it in a VERY small portion, like 1/2 of what you would normally eat...
- Eat something healthy when you get munchies... that way you aren't as hungry for the unhealthy food, so if you still want it, you won't want as much.

snack on healthy things such as fruit or rice cakes!

stay away from munchies? try chewing gum!

Nuts and small fruits are good for me. Such as strawberrys and grapes. There tasty and sweet keeps the cravings away for a while.

I have NO willpower. If it's there, I will eat it....so....I make sure that I don't have any really fattening, tempting foods in the house. This has really helped me lose weight.

Water-natural appetite suppressant
Gum-low in sugar, less than 10 calories
fruits-natural sugar, maintains metabolic rate through day if you eat every 2 hrs. which helps you lose weight, good vitamins and antioxidants

when u get the munchies there is nothing wrong eating healthy things. such as any kind of fruits, vegetables, rice cakes, poultry like chicken (not fried, heavily salted etc...) because it is very low in fat unlike beef and pork. u can also buy vegetable chips which are supposed to be good 4 u. u can probably get them at any grocery store near u.

Drink water, eat carrots, apples with soy butter, or apples with cinnamon, grapes, sometimes I would find something to clean or go for a walk. When I was still on maternity leave I would turn the TV to FITTV to get my self motivated to exercise again and then again sometimes I would end up taking a nap!

ADD: I breast fed my children so I didn't let myself feel to guilty for eating when I had the munchies.

the best thing is to eat celery (burn more calories eating it than it has in it) or carrots or any vegetable

if you want to keep yourself from eating..... have these rules when you're eating
1. always on a plate
2. always with the table set
3. always with silverware (i know this is hard but you have to... even with chips)
4...if you want to .... pick up your silverware.... put food on it.... put it in mouth.... put silverware back on placeboard (repeat)

step #4 will make sure you'll feel full b/c it'll take you 20 min. to finish which is how long it takes before your body realizes you're full
