What are good exercises?!


Question: I feel overweight, I find its because my parents are both overweight and never taught me proper eating and exercising habits, im 13, and i wanna be able to wear a bikini by the summer, im 5'7" and 160lbs =[ what are good effective workouts that work quickly, im also going into hs next year and im trying out for pom and cheer, and i hear they are very critical on weight, help!!!

Hi! First of all, I don't think that 160 is fat on your frame. Walking/cardio exercise is the BEST way to drop weight...Walk, eliptical, jog, take the dog for a walk! Anything like that will shrink you by this summer. Do you have a pool nearby? Swimming is amazing and is soooo good for you. Remember to eat healthier. Make a goal to eat 200 calories less a day and walk everyday and you will be in a bilini in no time. Good luck!!! I am sure you are beautiful just the way you are =)

jumping jacks, jumping side twists, kick and shadow boxing, anything that involves limbering up and jumping well... aerobics, gymnastics, practice doing cartwheels...

Exercise is important, but so is diet. I think it's pretty hard to lose any serious weight without both. It would be great if your folks would start to eat right themselves.
