Bulimic and need to know hot to stop the cravings?!


Question: ive gained weight and just stopped purging but now i dont eat much and food to me was what made me happy and now i feel so moody and depressed but if i eat i will be happy and then depressed later...its a never ending cycle what can i do to keep my mind off the food i cant excersize much due to asthma

I cant help much but i know how you feel...i didnt stop purging until I got pregnant with my daughter....my recovery was painful and horrible because i was pregnant but it was well worth it...after she was born i had a 6 month relapse but the only thing that has helped me is a loving boyfriend and a beautiful daughter that i have to be around to care for; without her i doubt i would've ever stop and id surely be dead from heart failure by now; i wish you the best of luck on your journey to health...if you need to talk dont hesitate to email me and ill do the best i can to help;

a few things i still do to help curb my appetite though (and i feel like im contributing to a deadly cause here but id rather you not eat than eat and purge) gum, hot drinks (tea coffee etc) get a few boxes of the 100 calorie packs, they are quite satisfying...if you must eat, eat fruit...apples are my favorite bc u can take them everywhere and u have a snack when you need one instead of stopping somewhere and buying unhealthy fast food or other options that are chock full of calories....

grapefruit, celery, PICKLES

go buy some cucumbers and onions, find a recipe for cucumber salad with white vinegar, the vinegar kills calories from what i hear and its very satisfying and you can eat basically all you want....the best recipe will include vinegar, sugar (yes you need the sugar) salt, pepper, onions and cucumbers....

i cant remember a whole lot of other pointers but i hope this helps, please continue to NOT purge

You have to change your whole way of thinking about food, which is a hard habit to get out of. Speaking to a proffesional will help you, go to your doctor and he will refer you. You have to break that cycle. Good luck x

Its a vicious circle.

Have you tried hypnotherapy, its worked for me. You make like to see a counselor who deals with eating disorders for you to overcome these feelings. Your being honest to yourself, but you may have to admit you need a little help.

Try swimming, a lot of Olympic swimmer first took up swimming to keep their asthma under control. Its a good alternative to running, and if you can't swimmer than aqua areobics is a fun alternative

Hun you need to see a doctor, purging is not healthy and your damaging yourself. You can get better! Remember your body is like a car, it needs fuel to be able to work xxx

really should try the recordings that i use, there from independentacheivement.com and the half portions cd and remove the sugar addiction really cut my food stuffing habits...and kept me off the physical up and down pound losing cycle and the emotional cycle from highs and lows from food stuffing. the exercise recording will let your brain figure out the best exercise for you and then have you crave it....it's really cool stuff...plus they were written up in a healthcare journal a few years ago, so they are legit.
