There are some problems giving a good answer to your question:
1. Few people have made many comparisons. There are many treadmills available, but most people try two or three.
2. Like cars, more models are out each year. If I bought one three years ago, it isn't the current model.
3. I don't know what too cheap or too expensive is for you. For some people, $2500 is not to expensive. For others, it it outrageous.
4. I do not know your fitnessn needs. Are you severely out of shape or recovering from an injury and simply need to walk a bit? Or do you run four or five miles each day?
First, determine your needs: Do you need a heart rate monitor, speed up to 10 mph, or one with variable incline?
Next, determine your budget.
Finally, find the treadmills that have the features you want and are within your budget. You can often find good deals on used treadmills too.
You'll probably want one with a 1.5 or higher motor and a long-lasting belt. Be sure to check out what sort of maintenance it needs, and their policy if you have problems.
Most importantly: Never hang clothes on your treadmill!
