Crunches really hurt my back, but I want to make my abs/stomach stronger...any i!

When your neck and or back hurts from doing crunches, it means you are straining your neck too hard. You need to relax the neck and stop bringing it up so high. Use your abs to lift yourself a little. You also don't need to lift you head all the way up.

A good ab workout is that you have your legs sticking straight up in the air and slowly bring them down about 6 inches from the floor, hold for about 15-30 seconds, and then bring them back up. It really works well and I usually do this with a partner. My partner holds my feet when they are up in the air. And their feet are on both sides of my head. Then we swtich places.

you basically have to do crunches to see results in the abdominal area.

do the leg crunch. lay on your back With your legs bent on your stomache and your roll them toward your chest.
