Did I lose weight?!

Question: Ok so since wednesday I have been walking and cutting out on junk food. Wednesday I walked 30 minutes. Thursday I walked an hour (30 minutes when I woke up and 30 minutes in the evening) and on friday I walked an hour too (30 minutes when I got up and 30 minutes in the evening). So I stepped on the scale and before it said 263-264. Now it says 261 and 1 ounce. I dont know if that was water weight or what. Its supposed to be very cold tommorow. Should I walk like 15 minutes instead of 30? Like walk 15 minutes when I get up and 15 minutes in the evening?

I havent been eating no junk food and just eating normal. And drinking no soda

I think your doing very well but even when its cold, you should just stink to the same times on every walk because if you walk less you body may not be able to handly every time you change you walking time...
I no i'm a personnal fitness instructioner.....
So keep up the good work....

keep it up you are doing good :)

You MIGHT have lost a pound. But only in 4 days, it's hard to tell.

You're better off staying to the diet and exercise and only weigh yourself once ever 2 weeks. The reason I say this is because you're not going to see any improvement everyday. After 2 weeks, you probably will, and you'll be more likely to stick to your diet and exercise.

Just keep walking at a constant time and extend the time period longer each week or each few days.

Remember, stronger muscles can increase your weight.

Kudos to you! Keep up the effort to become healthier! I am rooting for you!

sine it has been much less than a week
yes it is just water weight
easilly lost easily gained back
obviously you have more water weight to loose
try to go for a jog as long as you can stand
jogging and tredmills are the best full body workouts
youll find at the gym beleive it or not.

Yeah, you have lost weight. You have improved your diet and putting in more exesise. If you burn off more colories than you eat then you will loose weight. Make sure you have a sensable diet thoughh and do not go overboard. Keep doing 30 minutes even on a cold day, u will be shivering at first but your body will warm up, plus if you are shivering, you may burn off a few more cals.

Well done so far!!!

just do a lot of housework instead of going outside. If you are keeping yourself hydrated, then you lost weight.

Keep in mind, you need to burn an extra 3,500 calories to lose one pound of fat. In other words, figure out how many calories you take in and how many you are burning - the difference is either how many extra calories you are consuming or, if you want to lose weight, you should be burning more. Divide 3,500 by the difference in calories and that is how many days it will take to gain/lose a pound.

Ryan, I salute to you. Good work, man. I am going to follow your routine to lose weight also. It's a slow process BUT you're definitely living a healthy life-style. Bravo....!!!!

You have to raise your heart rate for at least 15 minutes in order to start burning calories....

i'm guessing that with the weight you've listed, you've got a significant amount to lose. so yes, it's very possible you lost a few pounds in just a few days. the more you have to lose, the quicker it comes off. you'll see, when you get to where you only have 20 or so to lose, the weight loss will start slowing down a lot. (it's very frustrating and where most people give up). but when you have a lot to lose, your body responds quickly to healthy changes.
you can split up your exercise time if you want, as long as you're logging in between 20 and 45 mins a day, you're doing very good.
remember to give yourself at least one day off on the exercise a week so you don't get bored and burnt out.
try to find different ways to challenge your body, like swimming (indoors obviously, since it's cold), biking or maybe even running. you'll burn faster and be less likely to burn out.
and most of all, CONGRATULATIONS on the the steps you've taken. it's hard, but just remember how you feel when you finish up a workout. no one ever said, 'god! i wish i hadn't worked out today.'. and congrats on the no soda. it's the devil! water's the best!
