How do you lose 40lbs when you don't have much time for exercise?!

Question: Of course, the quantity and quality of your food is very important.

As far as exercise goes, try doing 15 minutes of activity first thing every morning. I've laid out a simple plan that doesn't require any special equipment.

Mon & Thur = Jumping Jacks, Push-ups & Sit-ups (5 min each)
Tue & Fri = High Knee Lifts, Squats & Lunges (5 min each)
Wed & Sat = Jumping Jacks, Glute Kicks & Sit-ups (5 min each)
Sun = Free Day!

Your health & happiness worth 15 minutes a day!

You have to know that 40 pounds will not be lost overnight. Eventually you'll have to bring exercise into your plan, but start with eating less and watching what you eat. Watch your calories.

Without excercise it's going to have to be diet only. With the 2 pound a week target it will be 20 weeks if it runs on schedule.

Cut down your caloric intake.....it's not rocket science I'm tired of this s*it...all you have to do to lose weight is burn more calories than you eat.

Eating healthy is only 1/2 the work. You need to exercise to really make any progress. You should rethink your schedule and put aside time to exercise. (30 minutes a day would be a good start).

Eat SMALL meals every 3 hours to keep your metabolism up. And when I say small, I mean eat a portion of protein the size of the palm of your hand, and a portion of carbs the size of your fist. Do that 5-6 times a day, depending on how long your day is. Don't eat 3 hours before bed. Drink LOTS of water. Oh and eat a portion of vegetables for 2 out of the 6 meals, also an amount the size of your fist.

Don't just seize eating. You will be miserable and you'll probably start binging and not lose a pound.

break it down. you can't expect to lose it all in one day. do like ten minutes of walking a day. Eat healthy.

I would say if you dont want to do much exercise, try to limit your calorie intake to 65 - 75% of what it is right now, so if your consuming 1950 calories/day bring it down to somewhere around 1450. The body burns calories using the metabolism also. A way to increase this metabolism is by eating more frequently throughout the day, instead of eating 3 meals a day, try to 6 smaller meals/day this will keep the metabolism at its peak. Another tip you can try is to drink more water, drinking more water will make you feel less hungry throughout the day.

Since you are in nursing school, you should be well aware of the fact that even if you do improve your diet, you will not lose a great deal of weight without exercise.

Make time for even ten or fifteen minutes of exercise daily, and you will see a difference. Using a treadmill at the gym, or in your home will work, you can put on a book rack and read while you exercise.

If you speak to any of your instructors, they will tell you that you are going to have to exercise, there is no getting around it. You have to stop and eat during the day, have a salad for your lunch break and then walk for the remaining ten or fifteen minutes.

Good luck and have a good day.
