How can I develop better posture?!


Question: I keep on slouching out of habit. I'm 17, and I don't want a backbrace, but I don't want to be hunchbacked at 30! :p
What can I do?

You just have to constantly remind yourself to sit up straight and keep your shoulders back. If you keep forgetting, try writing it on your hand or sticking post-it notes around your room. It sounds kind of stupid, but it will work!
Also try doing exercises to strengthen your shoulders and back. If you've been slouching for a long time you'll find it hard to have good posture, so strengthening will make it easier for you.

Train with an overhead exercise that makes you stretch like a chin up bar.

Stand up straight for short lengths of time and gradually make them longer till your muscles get used to it.
