My weight doesnt vary but my physical aspect does!?!

Question: I have about 3+ years where my weight hasnt varied anything.
Iam 22 years old, 5'8" and weight 147lbs.

I have an average fit.. however sometimes I eat a lot more.. and my face looks somewhat doughy . Same weight.

In another scenario I went to the gym 3 months (4 times a week).. I looked thinner and a little more defined however the weight was practically the same.

Why would this be like that? whats the logic?

When you work out, you lose fat but gain muscle. You actually lost more fat than you gained in muscle, because muscle weighs more than fat, that is why your weight remained the same.

People are different when it comes to where their weight gain shows first. You are one of the fortunate ones because you can see a potential weight gain immediately as it shows in your face first. (That is also probably where you LOSE it the first.)

Some people gain in the stomach first, or the rear-end, and that may be the LAST place they lose it from. A lot of this is genetic.

We also have different metabolism rates. Consider yourself one of the fortunate ones!

It's a common factor in life. Your filling into your body. It's alright to eat alot of food, as long as your eating the right kind. This means cutting back on carbohydrates and simple sugar foods such as pasta and pop and increasing your protein intake. I would suggest some aerobic exercises such as skipping or short sprints to fire up your metabolism and burn fat.

Your burning fat and increasing muscle tone in your body. I'm assuming your goal is to gain muscle mass through intesive exercise???Every two weeks, depending on the exercise, increase the weight by 5-10 lbs. You also have to eat like a mad man! Eat immediately after each session at the gym.

Hope this helps.
