Simple exercise program for those with Autism?!

Question: I am looking for a DVD or VHS (Sorry, I do not have that Blu-Ray stuff) that is simple. I'm looking for something that a person with Autism can do. If you don't understand this-for me it is very hard to keep up with most exersice tapes since the exercises involved too many movements at one time...move your arms-then your legs--then hop--then do this...it is so complicated and not simple.

I googled Exercise and Autism or Exercise DVD and Autism, but I didn't come up any DVD's.

I don't have $40 dollars a month to get a membership and I certianly can't afford a personal trainer! (Although, I'd love to have one!)
Thanks.

Are you the one that needs the video? Becuase what I'm thinking is that you could maybe go through the video slowly, make a list of the moves they do, and then remember the list of moves, and then do them at your own pace to your own music.
If you do that you can even go back and do it with the video on because you'll have remembered the moves.

Actually people withoutout autism will have trouble following exercise videos too. It is hard to keep up but once you do it more than once you will get used to that routine. It will always be the same routine becuase it is the same video.

Just put a cookie in front of a treadmill

I'm no fitness guru or anything, but probably the most important thing is to find something that is fun to you. If you like to play on the playground like a kid, then try that. If you like scenery and natural beauty, take up hiking! Taking up a sport can be good exercise also.

In my opinion, being fit or becoming fit doesn't necessarily mean following a tape or going to an aerobic class or joining a gym. The best exercise is "unconscious" exercise....by that I mean something active that is fun and doesn't feel like work.

I just wanted to echo Salmah's answer. Since becoming a diabetic, I pretty much have to exercise every day, or succumb to medication or injections. So, I've tried all kinds of exercises. The one that I prefer is walking. Whether simply walking around the "big block" (a 3 mile loop around my neighborhood), or taking my boys out on weekends for a 3 to 5 mile full blown hike in the mountains, I make it fun and enjoyable. That way, it's not work and it's simple.

As far as the inane answers go, that's just the nature of the beast, so to speak. I see your question was deleted regarding this. You can easily see that I've been on answers for a long time and asked and answered a lot of questions. There are always going to be trolls out there taunting you. The solution is to pretend they aren't there. They're just seeking attention and if you give it to them, you're fueling their fire. Just let it go. It's like anything in life... you have to sift through the chaff to get to the wheat.
