Why is he trying to sabatoge my weight loss?!

Question: I went on weight watchers 2 weeks ago with a plan to lose about 60 lbs. I do pretty good unless my boyfriend is home and awake. I feel like rather than being supportive of my goal, he is deliberately trying to sabatoge my attempt to lose some weight.
For example. Tonite, we went out for pizza and instead of ordering a medium or small pizza, he ordered 2 large supremes and then kept trying to get me to have another piece. I asked for a water and he told me "you can drink pop if you want", like I am a 5 yr old.
On Thursday he delivered chili to my job with a giagantic bowl of Steak and Shake ice cream. Feeling like he went way out of his way to cook for me and bring it 25 mi into town, I ate a small amount of it. He went into detail how he managed to keep the ice cream cold and how much he knew I would like to have some.
He asks me out to eat every day. He has only become interested since I lost 10 lbs of my 60 lb goal. Whats he doing?

He may be afraid of losing you if you lose weight. If he is insecure, he may be subconsciously trying to keep you overweight so other men will not find you attractive or so you will not think that you can find someone who is better than him.

In any case, sabotage = bad and you need to address it with him. Well, you don't need to, but it would prbably help address the situation.

Godo luck with the diet and the bf.

Maybe he's trying to tell you he loves you the way you are.
Although often partners do these things and you have to just make up things like "I'm not really hungry" or "I just want a piece of fruit, but thankful".

He is simply your excuse for not succeeding.

Only a very honest person would admit this to themselves, however.

he is scared you are starving yourself. Be glad. You have a guy who really cares about you!

There could be a few reasons why he's doing it. It could be that he's testing you to see how devoted you are to losing the weight. It could also be that he's scared you'll leave him once you're down to a 'normal' weight. Is your boyfriend overweight at all? If that's the case, then maybe he's not "ready" to get himself into shape and is trying to hold you back from doing so yourself. Explain to him that you're ready to lose the weight and you'd like for him to support you. Tell him you feel like he's sabotaging your diet by trying to eat food that isn't very WW friendly. See if maybe he can tell you why he's been nonsupportive.

Just remember one thing. We are all in control of our own destiny. If you want to lose the weight, and I know you can on WW, then do it. Get healthy and get happy.

He is afraid of losing you to some other guy so he will do whatever is needed to keep you with him. that includes sabotaging your diet.

He love you.
