Weight Plateau---Help!?!

Question: I've been dieting since January 7th I believe. I was losing weight pretty good, doing the gym(45-1hr/3-4days), stretching(15 min after gym), walking (20 min/night). I've been trying to get at least 10,000 steps a day. I've been doing atkins (don't lecture me, I've read the research.) My problem is- the past 5 days I haven't lost anything, my weight has been going between 155 and 156 each day- I put in more effort at the gym, started doing more at home with a weighted ball but nothing is helping. How do I continue to lose the weight?

Now this is going to sound weird....do a cheat day. That's right, double your carbohydrate intake for one day. This will shock your body, which has gotten quite used to your routine, and give it new direction. Do this every 4 weeks or so to keep your body guessing.

It's natural for you weight to plateau. Just keep up the exercising and dieting and you should be alright. Don't worry about your weight, it is just a number and not a great indicator of health. If you are watching your diet and exercising, then you are becoming healthier. Muscle weighs more than fat, so you can be burning fat and gaining muscle, which can make your weight stay the same or gain weight. Building this muscle will help you to burn more fat, so do not worry about the number on a scale.

change it up a bit more. (preferably the diet) im not an atkins fan, but do know that eating fatty meats will stall your weight loss plan.
anyways change is the key, add more cardio, an an extra day, up your intensity etc.. i reccommend changing it up every 4 weeks. Your body gets comfortable with what you do. Preferably i would up the intensity of your plan. Add some jogging in there.

Don't over do it, always make sure to be safe about your exercise. Swimming, I feel is the best cardio, I did that for a month and lost up to five pounds in a week. Try swimming everyday, and slowly build up the distance until you're getting a mile or more in, you will drop weight.
