Has she anorexia? If, so how can I help?!

Question: My daughter never ate lunch - she hates packed lunches and she has always had just breakfast ( cereal, juice) and dinner ( usually a good big one ) plus a bar of choc. every day. She is now 16, and 3 months ago got the lead part in a school play. She decided to lose weight to look thin for the part. However, the play is over, she weighs 9 stone and is 5ft 8 in in height, and she has a new boyfriend at school. These last 2 weeks, she has virtually stopped eating. Her typical diet would be water and lemon jiuce for b'fast, no lunch, small portion of cabbage and slice of cheese for dinner, bar of choc., 3 cups tea with soya milk. What can I do to ensure she doesn't get thinner and become anorexic? I tried talking to her, so has her sister, but she just denies the problem and gets angry with us? should I insist she eats, and remove privileges if she doesn't? Or what help - if any - should I seek for her?

She sounds like she is starting to develop a eating disorder. Unfortunately...It's nearly impossible to stop someone w/ one. You can keep on nagging.. but it won't get better. I would take her to a therapist.. to see if that helps.

u nned to take her to a therapist and nutritionist...she could end up killing herself...

Yes, she has developed anorexia. You should consult a doctor or dietitian for suggestions or a referral to a specialist.
She needs to get help before she gets very sick, because she is starving her body.
Best of Luck

you need to take her to a therpaist and a dietician.
she already has anorexia, and shell develop more medical problems if you don't stop it now

how about trying out this it has a nice plan for her, what to eat and at the same time can loose weight

YES! You need to get you daughter help-IMMIDATELY!! I was just like your daughter last year. I completely stopped eating and got down to 65 pounds. It got so bad that doctors told my own mother to start shopping for caskets. No Joke. She needs a nutritionist and a therapist ASAP. She can still get help and save her life. She might resent the fact at first, but I guarantee that in the long run she will appreciate it. If she refuses treatment voluntarily- have her committed to a hospital. Do it while you still have time and good luck!
