On the scale of 1-10 how important is to drink protein shakes?!


Question: 1 being the list important and 10 being very important. I am trying to lose weight and build lean muscle I currently work out. And is there good protein shake that works great?

i dont believe in artificial stuff like those shakes. even working out, your body only needs so much protein. it will take what it needs and either pass the rest or convert and store it as fat. you can get plenty with a healthy diet, and your body knows how to process food. it is debated whether it can even process a lot of these things.

it is not at all important if you get your proteins elsewhere !!!!!!

I'd say a 1. You don't have to get your protein through shakes. You can eat beans, hummus, legumes, nuts, meat (especially fish) instead. Just be sure to eat a lot more than normal as you should be working out and burning of a lot of calories, they must be replaced with energy. It is much more important to drink water anyway.
