How can I lose 15 pounds by March 25, 2008. Serious good advice only.?!

Weight Watchers....you can do it online. And seriously, it works. I started it 2 weeks ago this Thursday, and I've already lost seven pounds. Also, if you're a soda drinker....no soda, and lots of water will take of a couple of pounds in a week.

You have plenty of time. That is not so much to lose. Buy some home excercise equipment or join a sports team.

I suggest cut back on what you are eating, eat a little healthier and work out. I'm sure you could definitly loose 15 pounds in 2 months if you do it right.... Good luck!!!

stay away from junk, excercise, atleast get out and go for a walk everyday, and don't eat before bed

You can lose that much at home. If you are drinking soda with sugar or lots of fruit juice, just replace them with water. Also walk an extra 1/2 mile a day. You will be surprised on how fast the weight will come off and how good you will feel. Good Luck...=}

Weight Watchers has been rated the best diet for many years now. However, it only works if you are serious about sticking to the plan and changing your eating style. I would suggest checking them out and joining a gym or begin working out.

Also, I would suggest not putting a "date" to your weight loss. Each person's body will respond differently. The best thing is to focus on today and make small changes that can affect your life forever. Good luck!

well if you live in a place with good weather that doesnt really get cold wake up in 7:00 or 8:00 AM and jog/run/power walk for 40 minutes then go home eat something that DOESNT give you fat(cause your try to lose it not gain so u better slow down on those twinkies :D) then go to the gym/fitness dont swin beacuase it will not make you lose any weight (trust me ive tried) then when u go home u will see that you lost a pound or to. Cut down on carbs, eat lots of FRUITS and VEGETABLES. Get a membership to Peak Fitness/Gold's Gym or something like that and stay committed. You should make up a healthy morning routine for yourself, i.e...

6 am 2 mi jog
6:45 am shower
7am breakfast - banana, low fat yogurt, glass of OJ

Run 2 miles on a treadmill 5 days a week. You will lose that in no time. Also cut down on fatty foods.

I have found that the best diet out there is the south beach diet. It is tough for the first phase 2 weeks but then it is much more easy to stay on. It is the only diet I have found where you are not hungry. I am 5'7'' and lost 12 pounds in a month on it. The only thing I would adivse it that during the first phase you don't try to exercise too much. After that go ahead. Beacause you have cut your carbs. It is difficult to expend too much energy. But it is only for 2 weeks and it really workds

b) The fastest way is to do a VERY low carbohydrate diet, eat lots of lean meat, vegetables and fruit.
c) Drink a lot of water.

I'd start by taking bread and sugar out of my diet eat more protein and walk about two miles a day. Remember the old saying ( eat no fat, gain no fat. Diet control can be really simple, watch what you eat and see if you can for now get down to about 1000 calories a day. You have plenty on time to lose your 15 pounds in a healthy manner. Good luck.

It sounds like you've got enough time to lose that weight in a healthy way, so good goal!

First off, try to get 30 minutes of exercise each day. It doesn't have to be a gym or anything if you can't afford it or don't feel comfortable. Even just walking for 15 minutes one direction and then turning around is enough to make a big difference in the way you look and feel.

Now for diet... don't do the fad ones! You'll just gain the weight back. The best advice I ever got was to stop eating as soon as you are no longer hungry, not when you're full. Your body doesn't need to be stuffed to get enough fuel! At 155 lbs, if you're not doing that, it may be all you need.

Avoid brown foods, they're usually fried. At meals, go for a piece of meat around the size of the palm of your hand. Good choices would be grilled chicken, turkey, fish or lean beef. Your helping of starch should be less than the meat and try to use a starchy vegetable, like corn, or one that's better for you like brown rice instead of white. Then, veggies! They should be the biggest part of your plate. Dark greens are the best for you, like broccoli and spinach, but any green vegetable will work.

You can lose more weight by replacing one meal a day with soup and by drinking 6 8 oz glasses of water. Really watch what you drink. Most people ingest way more calories in their drinks than they realize. Avoid sodas like the plague. Tea is best, expecially warm, or water and 100% fruit juice. Keep juice to two glasses a day.

Try to cook at home much more than you eat out, its healthier and cheaper. When you do go out, only eat half of your plate, that's usually pretty close to a healthy serving side. Plus, you're getting two meals for the price of one!

When you've reached your weight goal, just keep up these habits and you'll never have to worry about it again. I've been a size 4 for two years now, without dieting to maintain it. Here are some suggestions for things you can eat:

Breakfast: grapefruit, oatmeal, yogurt, egg whites

Lunch: wheat bread, wraps, turkey, chicken breast, mustard (zero cals!), veggies, fruit

Dinner: turkey, chicken, fish (dont fry anything), steamed veggies, salad, fat free salad dressing, brown rice

Snacks: apple, orange, yogurt, nuts, dried fruit

Drinks: black coffee, skim milk, fresh squeezed fruit juice, water, crystal lite, unsweetened iced tea, green tea

Cardio: jump rope 10 min, jog around house outside 10 laps, and ride bike up a hill for 10 min. Pretty good cardio workout for a beginner... then you can increase time of each exercise as you get better!
