How to lose weight? Am I Fat?!


Question: I am 14 and I weigh almost 190. I've been trying to lose weight but its so hard. I think I might be becoming anorexic in order to lose weight, I'm not sure..... (not entirely intentional) So... is there an easier way to lose weight? Am I fat?

Since you have not provided us with any other details like your height, it does sound like you could be a bit over your weight range. I would just try to be more active, go for walks around you neighborhood and try to stay away from the junk food. If you have a sweet tooth try a granola bar, if you like salt or chips try the flavoured rice cakes to curb a craving but otherwise stay away from the obvious bad foods like cookies, ice cream, candy, chocolate, chips and fried food.
As the other person said, don't hurt yourself over this, just try to pay more attention to what you are eating.

well as for the anorexic thing, you say its not entirely intentional, it means you are partly starving yourself on purpose? please stop doing that, your body will go into starving mode and retain the little food it received making you lose little to no weight at all. i know because i happen to be anorexic.... i'm 14, i did lose a lot of weight but it took a lot of time this way and now i look like a skeleton, going to the hospital a lot.

lose the weight the healthy way, eat fruits and veggies and work out a lot, cardio is key. even dancing to music will help!

i am fourteen and i weight 102 pounds
well my mom has been trying to lose weight and she eats oatmeal three times a day(each pack 100 calories)
and then when she is still hungry she grabs an orange or banana

She also runs 12 minutes a day burning 100 calories and then she does 20 situps she loses about 3 pounds a week or more.

Hope i help and don't worry you are not fat and why would you want to become anorexic, i don't see why looking dead with no meat on your body is the way all the young girls want to look and i don't want too look like that;



eat low carbs,
no fried foods
noo sweets/cookies
