WILL it WORK??!


Question: I'm 5 foot tall. 130 pounds. I know 130 right! sounds like a lot for someone who is 5 foot tall... but A LOT of it IS muscle. However, I do have some problem areas I'm working on. Mainly my tummy. I've been running. If I'm running 2-3 miles a day for 5 days a week... how quick will I lose?

Oh, I am also maintaing a healthy diet!

Although you'll feel results quick, you won't see results too soon.. It may take about 2-3 months. I'm 5'4" - 150 lbs.. You won't lose a lot of weight because you'll replace the fat with muscle. I'm the same way, I'm built with more muscle because I have an athletic frame, but I also have areas *mainly my stomach* that takes more toning. So, I do about 5 minutes of sit ups per day as well as run. I used to run 20 miles per week, now I'm only running about 10-15. You'll get there too if you set your mind to it.

A healthy weight loss is 2-3 lbs a week, aim for that. If you lose any more you risk gaining it back later on. Sounds like you are doing the right things to lose weight.

You ultimate goal is health not weight. You can take off inches without loosing weight. Although for your height you should weigh 100 lbs. But I used to teach advanced aeorbics to stunt people in Los Angeles and I can tell you that drinking water flushes fat cells out of you and fills you up. Plus working out and eating grapefruit helps a lot to loose weight more than just counting calories. Go to discovery health or to balleys website and they have exercises on there and menus and it will help you to decide the right course. Most of all eat right and don't drink too much water because that can hurt you as well. Good luck.
