Question: Lol. I have been dieting and I want to speed up my weightloss. I am really out of shape though. What are some easier exercises I could do until some of the weight starts to come off. When its easier to exersise I plan to join a gym. Thanks

The very simplest exercise you can do is to walk. You don't even need a gym to do it.

Get some comfortable walking or running shoes, and start with once around the block. If that doesn't wear you out, try twice around the block the next day. Keep increasing until you find an amount of walking that challenges you without wearing you out. Walk that much every day (at least five days a week). After awhile, try to increase it again. Continue until you've got the weight and figure you desire.

Walking, water aerobics, walking in the pool

Start walking places. When you get comfortable with a half hour walk, try finding some inclines to challenge your body. You could find some stairs to use too.

Walking is the best thing you could ever do no matter what shape you're in. Get Moving and don't quit. I guarantee you will see and feel results. Thirty minutes a day. Good Luck!

You shouldn't speed up weightloss, think of how long it took you to gain that weight, you can't just lose it in a few weeks. It takes time and hard work. The easiest thing to do is go for a walk or jog for about 20-30 mins. Or you could jumprope. Another thing you can do is buy some 8-10lb. weights and do a couple of sipmle exercises with those. For example, doing crunches while holding the weights, squats, lunges, or shoulder lifts.

Good luck.

If your out of shape, the minimum you should do is to walk 30 minutes everyday. When the work out is easy then step up the pace or duration or both.
If you going to join a gym.
Hire a personal trainer to show you how to lift properly so you don't get hurt.

No such thing as "speed up weight loss".. it's a lifetime commitment and if you've got a solid plan in place you will not see major results in less than 2- 4 months.

Find a good personal trainer based on recommendations. Check to ensure they've got all the proper licenses too. A trainer helps hold you accountable to showing up for your weekly work outs...they also keep the workouts "fresh" so you won't get bored.

It is important to do resistance training along with cardio. Muscle burns more fat... so the more muscle you have.. the faster rate you end up burning calories even when you are not working out. It's call residual burn. I recommend having a trainer for at least 6 months... so you will learn proper resistance training techniques. I see so many people using weights improperly.. or with poor form.

Don't go it alone... think of it as an investment in your body. You will benefit mentally and physically by establishing a good work out routine. Give it 6 months then if you're disciplined enough, ditch the trainer and follow your own workout routine.

Dieting is great, but I'd recommend seeing a Doctor or Dietitian to make sure you're not cutting out anything beneficial in your overall diet. This way you make sure you're still getting all the vitamin and minerals you need, as well as have a good balance of carbs, protein and fat. Your body needs all of these to function properly, and an improper balance will just make you feel very tired, and not want to continue exercising.

To beat on a dead horse, walk. Walk everywhere. If you ever avoided doing something due to the physical exertion, do it and keep doing it until it gets easy. If you work in an office, walk on your lunches for increased exercise. When you do finally join a gym, have a personal trainer set up a plan for you that is easy to follow and well within your physical tolerences, which will have you leaving the gym feeling great about yourself. Best of Luck!

Everyone is right start walking! With it being winter go to the mall and walk around there.

Walk at a pace you can stand then speed up the walk the next week the week after that add to the walk.
