the weight of your stomach is putting a strain on your low back. the #1 reason for low back pain is weakened abdominal muscles. begin doing some sit-up crunches 3-5 times per week to increase your core muscle strength, which will in turn relieve your low back pain. additionally, begin to get out and walk so that you can shed some weight in a health way first before you begin any serious impact on your joints..best wishes.

you need to lose weight. your back is probably hurting because of the stress from being over weight. a chiropractor might help for a little while but it will not fix the problem permanetley.

hey,
you need to do three things.
1. go to your doctor to check your health
2. see a chiropractor to make with your back
3. see personal trainer to help lose weight as being overweight is very dangerous.
good luck!!!

you should cut your calorie intake. i suggest around 1500 calories per day. in about 8 months you will lose around 30-40 pounds, it worked for my cousin.

I am over weight too and have a lot of back problems. I found walking helps and swimming. I joined with weight watchers and feel a lot better. Getting an adjustment willl help in the short term. All the best.

There are a few different reasons you could be having back pain. Being in puberty, therefore growing could be one of them, but it's unlikely. Depending on just how overweight you are, it could be caused by the weight.

Try to start working out, even just going on walks, and make sure you eat healthy. If it still doesn't get better after you lose weight, see a doctor.

Also..doing sit ups on the floor is very bad for your back. So it wouldn't be wise to do those at this point, it will just cause your back more pain. Wait until your are in better shape to do those.

Losing weight will help and that's easier said than doing. While trying to work on that, you also need to start doing strengthening exercises for your lower back. If you can go to a doctor and get exercises (or see a physical therapist to get started) that would be best but simple leg raises would help. Anything to strengthen your abs will help take the pressure off your back. Another exercise is to sit with knees bent and move a 5 pound weight (or bag f sugar) from side to side. As you get stronger, try to lift your feet off the ground and balance yourself. I have also heard of the YMCA offering classes to strengthen backs OR watch exercise DVDs (or on demand) for pilates which will help.

lose weight and stop popping your back. do not go to a chiropractor go to a real doctor.
