One arm/hand finger push ups?!

Question: I remember a long, long time ago, I watched a Jet Li movie (Can't remember which one) and there was a scene where you saw him doing push ups with one arm and on his two main fingers and his thumb. Talk about impressive! I figure he was definitely doing that because it looked genuine, but if so, how in the world does a person get their fingers so strong? I always thought a persons fingers would just snap at the pressure.

bruce lee could do that. he worked his forearms and hands daily. he was always working on his grip by using gripping machines, doing finger tip pushups (with one hand using his thumb and index finger or using his thumbs only), lifting weights with different fingers, and could always be seen squeezing a rubber ball.

when you first do finger tip pushups, assume the position of a regular pushup and support yourself on top of all your fingers. eventually, as you become stronger use one finger less. that's pretty much how it's done. this type of strength gets built up gradually and on a daily basis.

once you can do regular push ups easily, try one-handed ones, or if you want to do the finger thing, try using all 10 fingers. once you can do that okay, decrease the amount of fingers you're using. your fingers could be damaged (if not snap then tiny fractures) if you don't work them up first. to keep fractures from happening, get lots of calcium to make the bones strong too

Strength is a big part of it but really it`s all in your head. If you believe you can do it, it will happen.

jet li did that gradually. you cant just simply do one finger push ups. if you want to do that go gradually into it and eventually, with hard work and dedication you can.
