How much can i lose?!


Question: How much could I lose from pretty much now until the middle of march. im gonna do it the healthy way..but i wanna kinda lose some weight by then and then my next point is summer.

okay im 16 205lbs and 5ft tall.
i really dont exercise...i drink alot of diet pop and eat sugars too much.
if i go on a diet and cut out my sugars and drink tea or water...mainly just water. and started exercising a couple days a week. how much do you think i could lose?

I'm not sue but it sounds like you have a good plan in mind... I read somewhere that people can gain 16lbs. in a year from pop alone.... after reading that I drank more water and drank diet pop when i did drink it and I lost. Good luck!! I think you'll do well.

You could safely lose up to 16 pounds by mid March. Just keep at it and don't get discouraged by anyone or anything.

i was 5'7 adn 230lbs, all you gotta do is cut sugars out as much as possible no matter what. a tiny bit of sugar is fine, but avoid it at all costs and since ur a girl, just do light exercises like walking everyday and doing extra stuff. Im now 170 and muscular and my friends envy my body. water is your best friend. if you avoid sugar, you can eat any other thing.

On those 'shows' the people work their asses off and you don't see all of that on TV. This is going to have to be a long term effort, really there are no shortcuts. I say maybe 10 pounds if you do what you say you are going to do, more if exercise alot.

I think you could loose about 15 pounds. And yeah, don't go on some fad. I'm 15, tried doing that whole low carbohydrate thing and I ended up gaining more weight.. x_x From bingeing. I just used common sense and I actually lost like 20 pounds, now I'm down to 130.. I'm 5"2' and use to be about 150 pounds.. and I've only been doing this for about 3 months. I just eat A LOT of vegetables and fruit and protein and I drink lots of water and excercise after school because it helps me reduce stress from the school day. Bring snacks for school, and don't buy anything pre packaged or with sugar or white flour or caffine.. natural is good, the natural section in the grocery store is where you want to look. And I'm exhausted by after school so I usally don't eat from working out and the school day.. and if I do, I really don't feel like eating anything heavy because I'm too tierd to sit in front of the TV and snack, anyways. As far as exercise goes, you can start of little, like I did, like riding my bike to school every day and joining the cross country team. I know it might be cold outside depending where you live.. to excercise.. but if you could get your parents to buy you a Y membership. the first thing you should do is cut back on sugars and pop. switch to diet soda and foods with lower fats and sugars if you feel you need the soda and sugary foods. try eating more fruit too, its really good for you plus naturally sweet. more veggies and cut back on fried foods. aim for things high in fiber, protein, vitamins, and minerals. now since we have your diet out of the way focus on exercise. since you currently do not exercise start walking about a mile or so each day. its alot easier with a friend so try to get an exercise buddy. once you can walk the mile and still feel good try jogging for 2 minutes at a time then walk. keep incrrasing your jogging untill you can jog the whole mile. then increase in distance. this is all about pacing yourself. try doing different things also, get out of the house and go biking, swimming, anything that keeps you moving. you can probably lose about 70 lbs. good luck!
