What is the Kimkins diet?!

Question: The kimkins diet is a very low calorie diet spouted by a morbidly obese woman by the name of Kimmer or otherwise known as Heidi Diaz.

She claimed to have lost 198pds in I think it was 11 or 12 months and maintained it for 5 years. She used this as the proof that her plan worked and used a picture of a slim lady in a red dress as her "after" picture.

A lot of people were suspicious of her as well as of her alleged success stories from her members. Eventually someone hired a private investigator and for the first time we all saw what she really looked like... obese!

That led people to search for her photo as well as her success stories and sure enough they were found on a Russian bride website!

It would seem like most of her success stories were simply made up out of thin air adding pictures taken from Russian bride websites to make them seem more real.

But fraud aside, there is another concern, her diet....

It would seem people have been generally eating around 500 calories and even less on her diet, even a 14 year old girl whom was a member!

Diets below 800-1000 calories are termed a very low calorie diet. Very low calorie diets bring with them many risks particularly when weight loss is rapid (she claims fast weight weight loss). Because of this, they have been recommended as a diet to be done under strict medical supervision for those meeting certain criteria. Kimkins does not have any special criteria you need to meet nor does Kimmer the founder, have any medical or nutritional background.

Also weight loss from very low calorie diets has a very bad track record with most people rebounding quickly and usually wind up heavier then they were before... as we can now see, it certainly never worked for Kimmer!

Members have been complaining of various side effects such as chest pains, heart palpitations, bone pains, fatigue, dizziness, hair loss, hormonal imbalances, binging and eating disorders to name a few. These are all associated with very low calorie diets.

This diet scam has now been featured on various television shows such as KTLA, The morning show with Mike and Juliet and just this past weekend it was featured on Good Morning America. There is also a lawsuit underway and her assets have been frozen.

Please do your research before signing up to this diet.
