Sugar cravings, do you get them and what can you do to stop them?!

Question: Drink a glass of water instead, sugar is a drug like any other. Your body adapts to using the fuel you put into it, if its used to sugar it will crave it. The only way these will stop is to go cold turkey and not eat any for a couple of weeks. Drinking water when you feel hungry is a good regime to start, as the body often confuses thirst for hunger. Water also limits the amount of food you can eat in one siting, so can help in reducing appetite.

Indulging in a bit of sugar once in a while isnt so bad..

Take something that lasts long , like a boiled sweet..

Sugar is direct fuel for your brain.

Yes i get them and to stop them i eat chocolate! Or a few tangerines/satsumas fruit which is sweet and sometimes it does work for me. Good luck!

I brush my teeth and it works every time!

I get them, and when i need sugar but dont have anything to satisfi my craving, I have a banana. They have natural sugars in them. And if I do have sugar, then I eat it!!! lmaoooooo

Very dark chocolate... its sweet but bitter... & eases the cravings a little.
Let it melt on your tongue
(only a bite though.. not the whole bar!)

i definitely get sugar cravings, and on top of that i also have a major sweet tooth! dark chocolate and water seem perfect as sugar substitutes. you can also fill up on fruit juice and fruit. whenever i get an urge to dive bomb into sugary goodness, i usually have some water and a bowl of fruit. hope this helps!

Magnesium and Chromium supplements can help.

The less sugar you eat the less you crave it.

Try switching to fruit instead.

mine are always at night. sometimes i will go to bed at 9pm so i can sleep & it'll go away.
