What you have to do it tell your self you are worth it. if you are working out to make someone ELSE happy you wont be motivated enough to do it everyday. if you are trying to lose weight to look like a model or some other famous person you are going to give up because its not working fast enough for you.

The problem with most people and motivation is the wrong kind of goals, and the wrong reasons. set goals for each month. make them realistic, such as no more then 2lbs a week (you should aim for just 1lb of pure fat a week.) if you do things because YOU want them you are unstop-able.

I souly believe someone with enough self motivation and will power, can over come death its self.

good luck. i am here for you.

i saw my self in mirror and i said you should try at least last time and from this i motivate my self and you need lots of interest in exercise else you could never succeed in losing your weight.

This is what I did. First, I took my measurements in cm. I started to run 1 km and increase 1 km every week. Soon I loved running and was able to compete in a half marathon.

Do you like music? I am a retard sometimes and put on music and dance around my house. If anyone saw me they would think I was insane...lol.

Take your measurements only once a month and you will see a big difference. If you don't like running, start by walking. Your energy levels will increase and depression will subside.

All the best to you!

Eat foods with high energy like fruits veggies and nuts.

CARBS = Energy.
CARBS = Fat.

Use the energy to burn the fat///// This works, but you have to maintain portion control. When you work out, you should do fun stuff. Kicking a soccer ball and basket ball is good exercise. So is swimming!

Check your BMI and decide if you are overweight or no. It may so be that you might just be a little loose. this can be easily be taken care of with exercise.
If you are depressed about your exercise 1)sign up at a local gym.
2) get yourself a exercise partner /buddy. buddy system works best for me. If you would not feel like ecercising then your buddy will motivate you to go .

Just go in and do it. I always say that 50% of living healthy and exercising is actually getting up and doing it. You are allowing your mind to tell you that you are tired. Mentally, you lost. Try getting up and excercising. Even if you only do 15 minutes, thats 15 more than what you did. 50% is getting off your butt, the other 50% is applying yourselve.

if ur seriously depressed about ur weight, i would suggest u take something to cheer u up first before u start any exercise program. I mean....maybe u need some picking up...so vitamin b complex would be good....or just a general multivitamin. Its amazing wot difference this makes to ur mood.
Then i would suggest walking...cos even some gentle walking increases ur mood...and sends endorphins aournd ur body that make u feel good.
Also, how about dancing? stick on any music u like or find amusing...and just dance away...even if u feel like ur making a fool of urself, just do it...u will feel better afterwards.
I'm talking form experience. I hope it helps:)

Dymond,

One way is to start with yourself. Set a goal. For example, today you will walk for 15minutes. Start easy first. Then set your targets higher and with tougher work outs. Jogging would seem less of a burden if you listened to your favorite music. And never settle for less. The feeling of accomplishing your own goals is really satisfying.

I myself try to go to my aerobics class at least 3 times a week. But I only achieve that goal 1 or 2 times a month. If so, I kinda punish myself by doing ten laps in the neighborhood swimming pool on the weekends.

I personally don't have this problem but many of my friends do (especially one). But what motivates my mom is she goes along with tapes. Tae-Bo, Leslie Sansone, Denise Austin, etc..... Also, what I would think would work is to think about the overall effect of what you might look like when done working out. That's what I do, but my problem is gaining muscle mass....not loosing it. haha. Hope my little insight motivates you ;)

When you want things in life, you gotta' work for it. And when it comes to aiming for the weight you want to be..you need to work hard for that. When I feel as you do, I think about the outcomes of not getting back into shape and how much more confidence I will gain if I do it.

Just look at others you want to look like for inspiration. And keep telling yourself this is what you want.

Mainly, don't give up because of how hard the exercise gets. You're gonna learn to love it!

Begin to think of that time working out as part of your lifestyle. And like anything else, if you don't take care of it, nobody will. Have fun with the idea of having time set aside to help your health...that is a bank you should seek to place a "deposit" in each day.

Did you know that exercise actually is a form of anti-depressant? When you excersice your body actually makes chemicals that make you feel better :) It's true! Scientific fact ! Don't worry about motivation.. just start going thru the motions of exercise and try to distract urself with music while you do it.. and you'll find the energy to keep going. It's a mind trick that works well ! Good luck :)

i like to listen to music always gets me pumped up and ready to go, or work with a buddy and try to push each other. picture what u want to look like and go 4 it. good luck

Well, I suffer from clinical depression and some days I just feel like staying in bed all day because getting out and exercising is just too much for me to handle on a particular day. My antidepressant (Lexapro) has helped and what I usually do is listen to my favorite CD's and work up a sweat dancing. I live alone so no on can see me making a fool out of myself, ha. I'd see a very good psychiatrist and I'd get put on an antidepressant ASAP. It might also be a good idea to talk this over with a therapist and your regular doctor. Depression can steal your entire life if you let it, and I give myself pep talks every morning. "You ARE going to leave the apartment and take a walk." I try to envision myself wearing nicer clothes. My problem is that I don't overeat; I simply hate to exercise and get motivated. I'd find some of your favorite CD's (good dance ones) and just have fun dancing. I know it's weird but it works for me. Also, if I see something sweet, I ask myself, "Sure, it looks good. But do I want to wear it on my thighs later?" Hang in there.

I would seek professional help. You are taking way too many medications.

Think of how awesome your body will look/feel after you workout.
