What should I eat when I go out to dinner tonight?!

Question: Ok. So my new years resolution was to lose weight. Im not overweight, I weight 125 and wanna cut it down to 115 or so. I started getting serious about 2 weeks ago. I've cut pop and chips out of my diet and have ran a mile every morning on the treadmill. So far in the past two weeks I've lost 5lbs. (2.5 lbs a week, so pretty healthy right?)

Ok. This is my dilemna. Tonight is my boyfriends uncle's birthday and we're going out to dinner. Now, Ive been good with putting together meals here at home that are healthy because I could read the nutrition facts on them. At a restaurant I can't. So all you diet wonder-women, help!

Heres the menu:

you need adobe to read it.
I was thinking a Portabella Mushroom burger but the french fries would be too tempting!

Good for you!!!

To tell you the truth, I honestly think it would be a good idea to 'treat' yourself and have whatever you'd like! I don't go longer than two weeks of eating healthily without having one 'bad' food every once in a while! The Portabella Muschroom burger would be a fine choice, and I think you can allow yourself some of the fries as well, you deserve it!

If you are wanting to be really strict on your diet, though, I would suggest eating just going with one of those salads or perhaps having a wrap.

This is your call, though. Good luck, and congratulations!

you should eat healthy things that you like but eat small portions of them and don't pig out you don't want people talking bout u. (trust me)

give your french frys to your boyfriend, before you take a bite of anything... either that or tell em' not to bring them out. you can always order basicly whatever you want at a restuarant

How about baked/poached fish and salad with no dressing or low fat dressing.

since it's your bf's uncle's b-day, I'd say just go ahead and treat yourself. it's once a year? right? it won't set you off to much. if you feel guilty, just work a little harder over the next few days.

A wrap or salad (dressing on the side, dip your fork in it). Or, you could have an appetizer for your entree. If anything you choose comes with fries, ask to substitute some grilled veggies for the fries. Most places are pretty accommodating. Also, a thin crust cheese pizza loaded with veggies wouldn't be terrible. You're probably not going to get away from eating more calories than you should, but plan for the extra by eating a light lunch, and exercising a little more every day this week. Good job, by the way, I wish I could do as well as you.

If you have been doing well enough to lose 5 lbs in two weeks, you are sticking to what you said you were going to do, treating yourself one night, especially if you stick to your diet the rest of the day, isnt going to hurt anything. You might see a 1 pound go back on, but not much more from one meal.

I started a diet 3 weeks ago and have managed to lose 13 pounds in that time (i have more to lose that you :) ), but sunday night I went out for my annivesary and ate what I wanted. I put a 1.5 lbs back on, but I know that by next weekend it will be gone as long as I sticl to eating right and exercising.

To sum it up, EAT WHAT YOU WANT TONIGHT, YOU"VE EARNED IT!!! :)

My suggestion would be to go with the mushroom burger, ask them to leave off the fries (or put them in a bowl and give them to someone else at the table) and get the salad bar, which costs extra, but would be worth it. Fix yourself a yummy (and healthy) side salad, and your body will thank you! You might feel deprived beforehand and in the middle of the meal, but you'll feel better (and proud of yourself afterward) for having a salad instead of fries. And I bet everyone will be impressed with your will power, especially if you have a good attitude about your own meal and let everyone else enjoy their fries and such.

Well I think its a special day for your boyfriend's uncle. You should at least give yourself a break and have some sweets because 115 pounds is good, but don't over eat!

Hi,

I've tried so many different diets in the last 10 years that I can say now, they don't work!
A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it (it's 100% natural). The results were excellent and I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. I felt fantastic and I dropped another 5 pounds safely. That's why I recommend you check this product at
http://get-trim.info where they have a free trial and you only pay $4.95 shipping and handling.
Good luck!

You have been doing really well so far. My suggestion is to get what ever you have a taste for. Just watch the portion....just only eat a part of what you are served and make sure that you get back on track with your routine tomorrow. Even if the scale tomorrow shows a pound or two gain, it is probably due to salt and you will lose it plus more in a day or two. But if you want to stay on track tonight, I would suggest the seafood salad with the dressing on the side. The mushroom burger might be dripping in butter.
