Bicep growth question?!

Question: when i work out my biceps/arms, obviosuly they feel pumped and worked out after a session on them, but after say 2 days they feel like they go back down to the the size they were a couple of months ago. been working out now for about a year come the end of this month, and i'm sure that they have grown plus people have said they look bigger, but i don't get why i can't feel that growth ( have not really felt the growth throughout the whole year) any ideas as to why? some one did mention to me about my mucles adapting to my routine, but i learnt that error within a month or so of starting so i didn't think it was that.

cheers in advance to anyone who can shed some light on this :)

Drink protein shakes after your workouts give your muscles the proper rest it needs. You cant see change because you see your muscles each day while others see it after the growth so they see the drastic chnage. Your fine

I agree with the first answerer, you do need to make some diet changes for your body to build muscle. Protein supplement shakes and/or snack bars can help add a bit more protein to your diet and that will help add that mass you are looking for.

It's also important to change up your routine with different exercises for your biceps. Also, keep in mind that you'll may want to work on your Triceps as well, that will make your arms look larger too.

I've attached links to help you with some exercises:

1. Vary your biceps exercises regularly oe dont just stick to one sort of biceps exercise . Try changing them every 3 weeks depending on how many times you exercise
2. Try protein/muscle building shakes (nothing illegal)
3. Keep a monthly record of their size so that you have proof that they are growing
4. Eat healthly and rest to enable time for growth

If you are lifting then you can also keep a record of how much you are lifting to proove to yourself that you are making gains . There are also other tests of strength which can be found online so you can record your performance in these over time

Dont forget to work your triceps and forearms particularly if you are looking for arm growth rather than just biceps growth

An old man in the gym I go to, goes to workout in long sleeves, and after seeing him for nearly 3 years, he diffidently starting to outgrow his mediums. The point is that a bigger muscle is a stronger muscle if you ask anyone. If the weights you've done have been going up, than its obvious your muscles got bigger to support more weight, dont measure your growth by appearance unless you take routinely pictures of yourself marked with dates, thats just time consuming, better yet if you keep a log entry of weights and exercises recorded on workouts, you'll better know how much your biceps or any other body part have grown. If you want to get a better in depth measurement on your biceps on how much they've grown, buy a measuring tape, the ones use by tailors and measure monthly to see if size increases.

Keep up your workouts, You are one dedicated iron bender.

The short term "growth" you witness after a workout is temporary pump, consisting of blood and water in your muscle tissue. It is not actual muscle growth.

Most people can't note change in themsevles as growth occurs gradually and you see yourself every day!
