Actually thats the perfect rate of weight loss. Losing weight too quickly results in sagging skin and a bigger chance of gaining the weight back. Considering May is still a few months away you should have plenty of time to lose the weight

To lose 25 lbs by May 1st, you need to lose 1.75 lbs a week.

Not necessarily. People lose weight at different rates, according to their metabolisms. I worked out like a crazy person every day for a month, and saw NO weight loss. I went to see a doctor about it, had some blood drawn, and a week later, found out that my thyroid wasn't functioning properly and that I had essentially no metabolism.

At any rate, you need to keep doing what you're doing. Any progress is good progress, right? Even the smallest steps will get you over that finish line eventually. Don't feel like a failure if you don't lose "X" amount of pounds by a certain date. You're a work in progress!

I'm sure you're already eating right and exercising. Make sure you get enough sleep. Drink your water. Just take it five pounds at a time. It will happen!

You are doing great!!!! Loosing weight slowly is by far the better way to go. If you lose it to quickly it usually doesnt stay off and your calories are to low so they start robbing you of proper nutrients. I was 170 at the start of december and now Im 143. Im trying not to lose weight so fast but Im breastfeeding my daughter and I cant seem to slow it down. If I notice I havent had ATLEAST 1200 calories a day I eat more. I try to keep it between 1200-1500.
Best of luck and keep up the great work! Your doing wonderful. Dont ruin your progress and slow your metabolism by cutting to many calories.

Your on the right track at least your are losing keep it up and it will come off quicker, Add extra cardio into your routine, weight training or replace 1 to 2 meals with good Nutrient packed Meal replacement shake and you will deffinately lose weight quicker. Good Luck! Im in the same boat! Shorter and fatter lol Im currently doing herbalife Meal replacement shakes for breakfast and Lunch they are all organic and full of nutrients they dont taste bad, and can feel difference all ready and its only been a week!

No. You're losing weight at the ideal rate. No more than 2 lbs a week. I know people look at shows like the Biggest Loser and wonder why they can't lose 30lbs in a week, but those guys are working out up to six hours a day. It's intensive. Without such support as they get, it's not realistic and not healthy. In many many cases, the weight will just go back on faster and it's more unhealthy to yo-yo in your weight than remaining at your current weight (and losing slowly).

Just remember some points (some of which you may be aware of). Eat well, exercise and the weight will come off. You're young, so unlike some of us middle aged types, you still have a good metabolism. The first key is to quit all junk food, all fast food. No chips, bars, soft drinks, Big Macs - nothing!

Also, where ever possible...substitute white bread with multi-grain, white rice with brown or long grain, white pasta with whole wheat pasta and white flour with whole wheat or whole grain flour. Limit your intake of refined sugars and avoid artificial sweeteners (they can actually make you crave food). If you have sugar in your coffee or tea, substitute honey or natural fructose. Doing these things will help keep your insulin level from spiking (and it's this that ends up storing a lot of sugar as fat).

Eat regular meals (they don't all have to rabbit meals) including breakfast. Drink lots of water (not necessarily the full 8 cups a day...just what you can tolerate). And don't try to get your fat intake too low - our bodies need the fat to manufacture certain hormones etc.

Eat lots of fibre. Careful that your cereal doens't have too much sugar in it. I love shredded wheat and the Quaker Oatmeal squares. (Whole wheat and oats...very good for you).

And most of all - get some exercise. You don't have to run marathons. Walk 30 minutes a day. Take stairs instead of elevator etc. Remember, every moment you're moving instead of sitting is that many more calories being burned.

You're doing well so far. Keep it up!

There isn't that much more you can do. Yes the more you way the mor weight you lose but it isn't healthy to loose more than a couple of pounds a week. Depending on what you eating and how much you exercise you could loose more weight faster.
I don't know what you are doing but try to not drink soft drinks only water. Don't eat fast food that just loads the pounds on. Try to burn more calories than you eat. Things like bread, butter, mayo, and sour cream are really fatting. Just keep trying and don't give up and you'll get to where you want to be.

dont lose any more 175 is a perfect weight thats a curvy weight and curvy girls are HOT
