How do you stay motivated?!

Question: I'm a sucker for going on and off diets/workout programs every couple weeks.
How can I stay motivated to go through with one and actually lose the weight I want?

(It's not a health issue by the way, just some pounds I'd like to drop.)

Lol. I added post it notes in those bright colors - like bright yellow, neon green and hot pink almost everywhere -it's pretty chessy when people come over but it reminds me what I want to do. Somethimes I think we forget due to not being a habit and lose the motivation or at least I just need reminders. you can put your post its where ever you will see them and write what you think would get you going. On my TV, I have one in caps (well all notes are in caps) and it says Exercise - I have one on the kitchen table surface that says - Drink Water, One on my desk and it says Challenge (meaning for me to do something to challenge myself in that area). I'm also going to add one to my mirror in the bathroom tonight - "I'm going to get fit" and add a photo to my bedroom vanity of a picture of when I thought I was at my fittest and I also have a dress hanged up on my door with a hook that I plan to wear when I reached my goal : )

Hope that helps..

just stay on your self and enjoy your diet and workout.this helps more than you know

go to a nutritionist! Since you're paying all that money to see that person every week for losing weight, you really stay on track and be motivated! Cause you also know you're working with a professional and you're in the right hands and that you're definitely gonna lose the weight! :) Thats what I did and worked perfectly! :)

You have got to want it. Everyday you wake up you have got to want it. And when you get weak. You have got to realize it is a weak point for you and either get over it by yourself or call someone that can help you stop yourself. You are ulitmatly the one who controls your diets success.

I stay motivated by looking at myself in the mirror and visualing what i want to see, and then after i see the scale move in the right direction just once i am all set.. thats motivation enough for me to see one pound off then i know more will follow.

Find something that you like to do that doesn't drastically change your daily routine. It could be as simple as going for a short walk right after lunch with a co-worker or classmate. I have found that if you involve another person, you are more likely to stick to your goals. The other person can also help motivate you. Also, if you only want to lose a few pounds, you won't have to do much. Lose the weight gradually by adding like 20-30 minutes of extra activity to your day. Good luck!
