How can i lose 20lbs?!


Question: I want to lose 20lbs. i don't mind how long it takes and i want to lose it healthily.

Also i don't want to stunt my growth by dieting so i'm not looking at this as dieting but as a change of habit.

Please advice me at how to start and how to stay motivated.

the healthiest way and best way to loss 20 pounds is
1.exercise
2.eat fruits and vegetables
3.if you do eat something unhealthy
make it at least a little good for you
(like no salt on french fries)
4.push yourself to your limits
5.if you do get tired drink water
6.no sodas or juices
7. if stressed out get something to squeeze or break.

Well I was going to say weight watchers, it worked for me, but that's a diet. why don't you try cutting out stuff in between meals and go for a few walks, or go to the gym...or swimming is quite good? I know it's hard but it's soooo worth it in the end, trust me. Good luck hon x

Aim for about 1-2lbs a week. Do 30-60 minutes of cardio 3X a week and circuit training on alternate days. You need to remember to eat to support your workouts. On a day you don't workout...eat about 1300-1400 and on days you workout eat between 1400-1500. Eat low fat, cut out your white starches.....eat multigrain pastas, rice, breads etc..

i used to be a size 18 and weighed 202lbs.then jan,last year i got engaged to get married in dec.that was my big motivation.by the end of nov.i was a size 14 and weighed 164 lbs. just to let u know i did not go to the gym or diet.all i did was walked at every opportunity instead of getting in the car or using the public transport.i would walk and jog half way on my way to work.i made sure i either walked to or from work with my ipod in my ears.i did not care who stared at me on the road because it was working for me.
i also realised that naturally when i do excercises like walking or jogging,i eat less and drink more especially water.i ate anything i wanted for dinner but i feel full quicker than i used to.when i over ate,i made sure i quicken my steps more the following day.and i always felt happy the days i do not over eat.
set urself a target.look forward to something later in the year or look forward to seeing someone that used to know u as you are now and surprise them.stay focused and don't push yourself.just relax and u'll be amazed at the result you'll get.just give yourself enough time .good luck!

to maintain your current weight you should et 2000kcals per day. so to lose weight you need to restrict this to 1500kcals. but make sure you eat no less than 1500kcals as this will slow your metabolism & you won't lose anything.

i would recommend a class called body pump - this uses weights to tone you up & burn lots of calories (www.lesmills.com) - give your local gym a call to see if they run it. i did this class twice a week & could see big difference fast!!

if you are restricting your diet it's also a good idea to take a multivitamin to ensure you are getting all your vital nutrients.

if you cut your cals back to 1500 per day & do exercise 2-3 times per week you will lose 1-3lbs per week easily.

drink plently of water, try & increase the amount of fruit & veg you eat & swap white bread for brown bread, full cream milk to skimmed milk etc.

eat very very less
no snacks or junk food
eat 3 times a day
and if u get hungry only eat fruits
