Yoga exercise made me cry?!


Question: I did yoga for the first time this morning and during the exercise I started to cry but composed myself but towards the very end of the exercise I cried my eyeballs out like a baby. It was totally uncontrollable. I'm not worried about it but I just wonder has this ever happened to you?

It has never happened to me, but I have heard of it happening. Also during massage. Many yoga poses are designed to not only stretch and tone muscles, but also to help work toxins out of your muscles (the same way getting massaged will). Emotions are physical, so doing something like yoga can and does create this response sometimes in people. I think it will not happen so much in the future. I would certainly encourage anyone to keep at yoga.

while doing yoga follow the breathing exercise properly, that is 'u inhale while expansion and exhale during contruction'. u can also connect your tongue to your pallet (upper surface of your mouth) while doing yoga.

yeah, i had that happen. I don't know why. i just thought i was being weird. but Yoga is good for the mind and helps to center you so, i guess if you have crap bottled up it helps to realse that as well.

I love yoga. haven't done it for a while.

u know everrone cries when they excercise b/c it really makes them think that their out of shape and it happened to me once too. U know excercise and its like this stressed out feeling comes over u especially when it burns but trust me u always get used to it
