Provided it is ONLY whey protein shakes, yes. I recommend Designer Whey since most protein shakes tastes like... well... something indescribable... in a bad way.

If you're planning to lose weight or bulk up, i also recommend you read The ABS Diet. It can give you the proper food, exercise and maintenance techniques.

Lifting weights will NOT stunt your growth. unless they are EXCESSIVE. ^_^

Protein shakes are fine for you hun.....what wouldn't be good for you right now is doing a heavy weight lifting routine. Your body is still growing and your bones are still forming. Heavy weight lifting can stunt your growth. You can however to Calisthenics (exercise with your own body weight).....things like push ups, crunches, etc..

Most protein shakes are whey isolates in order to put high quality amino acids to your muscles. If you are on weight training and want to get build-up fast then it is OK to get those shakes but i suggest you to get your protein from lean meats because other then protein, you will get many essential vitamins and minerals which are also essential for growth in your age.

Why doesn't your mom ask your doctor? I'm sure she could get plenty of good advice from him or her. Beside, a 14 year olds diet should consist of enough fruits and vegatbles and healthy meats that you should be getting the proper nutrients from your diet.
