What is the best protein shake/powder to build muscle fast? Is whey protein good!

Question: here is a little more than what you asked for

I use body fortress whey protein of the vanilla flavor and after 2 weeks i have seen tremendous improvement. I do not get tired as easily and I can go longer. I mix it with 2% milk cause thats the only way I can get that stuff down and its better if you use a blender or shake it to get it to dissolve. Like that woman said above referring to kidney failure, you would have to drink an extremely large quantity for about 2 weeks several times a day for that to happen.
I use one scoop with a cup and a half of milk ASAP after working out.
Get a good burn in or else you are wasting your time. After about 45 minutes of working out your testosterone levels drop sharply and you are wasting your time after that.
I have not used creatine yet but I plan on looking into that.
I know whey is more immediate effect [25minutes to an hour] and creatine is for longer effect [4 to 8 hours] or at least from what I read.
Your muscle is 75% water so make sure you stay hydrated through out your workout and day for that matter whether bottled or tap. Stay away from Gatorade and the such.
Make sure you take one or two days off from working out.
Do not work a set muscle group such as biceps and triceps everyday or legs or whatever make sure you switch it up

Here is my schedule and I do abs daily

Monday: chest and arms
Tuesday: back deltoids and traps [shoulders]
Wednesday: legs calves and butt
Thursday: chest and arms
Friday: back deltoids and traps [shoulders]
Saturday: legs calves and butt
Sunday Rest

Make sure you stick at it and don't overdue it.
use music for inspiration if you want I do.

Best of Luck

whey protein is very good but understand this. too much protein can and will lead to kidney damage and failure.

I use muscle milk. I couldn't compare it to anything else, but I have noticed a difference.

Whey protein is very good.

The best I've found is Myoplex. It's chalk full of protein (42g) and it's a full meal replacement as well, coming in at 300 calories (which is pretty low for a full meal) and plenty of nutrients and a bit of creatine to help you recover from a workout. More importantly, it tastes good. I used to take Muscle milk, while it tasted great, it just had a bit too much fat and sugar in it to get the results as fast as I wanted.
