Question: i just bought some whey protein at gnc and i use to take muscle milk and i noticed that there is 20grams less protein in whey protein then muscle milk im tryin to lose weight and gain muscle, i am currently on a diet and i started to drink a regular schedule of protein, one shake in the morning and one after workout and thats only about 42grams is that enough? i am also drinkin 3 glasses of milk and 3 eggs a day so that is roughly only 83grams of protein is that enough for my goal of losing weight and gaining muscle? or should i bump it up to 3 shakes a day?

you need to consume protein to loose weight. cut fat from your diet, and keep up your caloric intake. you need energy to burn fat and build muscle. drink juices like grape juice that are high in antioxidants and that will lower your cholesterol. They will also keep you regular too. you can also add the powder to them for even more protein w/o the cholesterol. eat well in the morning, a little lighter in the afternoon, and very lightly in the evening, twice.

Drinking heavy protein shakes will only help you gain weight. You've gotta put in a good amount of cardio to lose any kind of noticeable amount of fat.

Diet and exercise will lose the weight. Not a crash diet but just something that has fewer calories. Less crap basically. You still need your nutrients or else you're hurting yourself.

The protein is good for muscle build up but you have to be doing resistance exercises. Use the whey after your workout as a fast burning protein and then eggs/red meat/beans for your slow burning protein later in the day.

Know this: if you're getting all the nutrients (including protein) that your body needs, the only thing an additional suppliment will do is give you very expensive urine.

How much do you weigh? Multiply that number of pounds by 1 - 1.5 and that is how much grams of protein you should take in a day. So, I suggest that you drink like 6 glasses of milk, (fat free), and lean meats lie chicken breast, beef, pork. Nuts are also high in protein. I suggest you buy Optimum Nutrition whey next time, it has 24 grams per serving, and better ingredients in my opinion.

I came across this great product for weight loss (all nautral) and it was excellent for me. Together with a good diet and exercise I am finally happy with my body and the way I look. You should check this product at
