Help me with my exercise........please?!


Question: i exercise on one of these ..... http://www.totalgymdirect.com/pilates.ph... ..... they say that the higher you raise it the more you will bulk up ...and lower is for woman for long lean muscles...i do NOT wanna be bulky...but when i put it low it doesnt feel like its doing ANYTHING!...i like to actually feel it burn ...and after i work out if my muscles dont feel like i worked out i feel like it didnt do anything.....would i be ok putting it close to top..or am i gonna get bulky like a man ....LOL

I wouldn't be very worried about bulking up. It takes TONS of work for a woman to bulk up like a man. I used to have the same issue since I am only 5'2" tall, I didn't want to look like a gymnast. I have gotten over that. I run, swim, do weighted lunges, weighted wall squats, and use the elliptical and I have YET to bulk up. I have been working out 3-4 times a week for almost a year and no bulking. I am also the same way as far as the burn. If I am not sore the next day, I am totally ticked off. In order for you to get bulky you would probably have to use a muscle supplement and do some serious weight lifting daily. Do what feels good to you! If you start to feel too bulky cut back.

put it on low but not the lowest. do a lot of repetitions and you will soon feel the burn!

You won't get bulky unless you work on a specialized routine designed for it. Most women simply don't have the testosterone in their system to build the huge bulky muscles.

Keep it low and just keep doing it over and over again & eventually you should start feeling it..

use it low.
Even though it doesn't feel like you're doing much, you're actually exercising your muscles. you'd be surprise to see how much your muscles exercise just walking.
