Why do i get heartburn after eating starchy foods like white bread?!

Question: Your body is telling you that there is something in that food it doesn't like. I always recommend to my clients that they listen closely to what their bodies are telling them.

You may have a sensitivity to something specific in the food or you may be eating the wrong foods for your metabolic type.

i'm the same. i ge it bad with pastry, cake, beer bread most stuff with yeast in it...

dunno why tho... i used to eat nimble bread that didn't give me heartburn..

also it may be stress..

eat more natural foods that are not processed

I'm not sure why its starchy foods for you in particular, I seem to get heartburn pretty randomly, never really noticed what it was due to. However, a great fix for it is a teaspoon or so of baking soda in half a glass of warm water. It works brilliantly, and no drugs!

Not sure why this happens. Pastry is my worst nightmare, closely followed by bread and baked beans. Pity, I love them all.

I also get this, I have also had a 'lump in my throat', after 'searching' the internet I found this;

On thinking back, this happened after a prepacked processed 'chinese chicken' meal, notorious for MSG.

And on further searching I found this ;

I am now taking Vitamin B6 !

I also posted a query on YA (there must be better places)

I Now 'try' to avoid processed prepacked food.
